Privacy Policy

Our privacy commitment, in plain language

ScriptAI is built so that your recordings, transcripts, and scripts stay on your device by default. There is no ScriptAI account, no sign-up, and no server where your content is stored — we (the developer) have no way to see, read, or access what you record or write in the app, whether or not you use a cloud-based AI model.

Specifically:

• Transcription happens on your device using a local, open-source speech model (WhisperKit). Your audio never leaves your iPhone or iPad for this.
• Titles and summaries are generated on your device using Apple's on-device Apple Intelligence models, when available. Nothing is sent anywhere for this.
• If you choose to enable cloud transcription or cloud AI features (optional, off by default or explicitly toggled by you), only the minimum data needed — your audio for transcription, or your transcript text for summarization/titles/chat — is sent, over an encrypted connection, to the specific third-party AI provider needed for that feature (listed below). We route these requests through a proxy service (AIProxy) that does not log or store the content of successful requests or responses, and never has access to full provider API keys embedded in the app.
• We do not run any analytics SDK, tracking pixel, or advertising SDK in ScriptAI. The only usage data that may exist is the fully anonymized, aggregated data Apple collects if you've opted in to "Share [App] Analytics" in your iOS Settings — we don't control or individually identify this data.
• Subscriptions are handled entirely through Apple's App Store (via StoreKit) and RevenueCat, which only sees anonymized purchase events — never your name, content, or identity.
